Hey now, that's what nearly every adult says about the Planes movies, but little kids love them enough to have turned a nice profit, not even counting the merchandise. Small children have a pretty different set of values than adults. |

Given the popularity of this franchise, it could work but it still could make a lot of kids happy to see it even it flops.

The Planes movies had Pixar behind them, and it showed. Beyblade, OTOH, never really was a thing even when it was around, and we only remember its name because it was one of the last shows to get a mainstream syndicated deal for being a game series. That's why producers have never really heard of anime. (See threads on Ghost in the Shell movie.) |

Then how exactly can they hope to depict the tops' fantastical powers?
Not really, Planes takes place in the same universe as Cars, but it's DisneyToon Studios that's behind Planes. |

Well, the kids might end up enjoying this live-action version of Beyblade, even if the Beyblades' mystical powers don't end up translating well in GC.
Even then, I really don't have high hopes for it. |
