A live-action film of BeyBlade?! How ridiculous will that turn out?

I can't see this being anything other than a waste of time and money.

Hey now, that's what nearly every adult says about the Planes movies, but little kids love them enough to have turned a nice profit, not even counting the merchandise.

Small children have a pretty different set of values than adults.

Except Dragonball Evolution was not entirely aimed at little kids and, even during then, pertained to a franchise before their time.

Given the popularity of this franchise, it could work but it still could make a lot of kids happy to see it even it flops.

I'm a huge Beyblade fan but I can't imagine any way it would work as a live action movie... Shocked

I'll be happy as long as they don't use CG on the beyblades.

The Planes movies had Pixar behind them, and it showed.

Beyblade, OTOH, never really was a thing even when it was around, and we only remember its name because it was one of the last shows to get a mainstream syndicated deal for being a game series.
That's why producers have never really heard of anime. (See threads on Ghost in the Shell movie.)

Then how exactly can they hope to depict the tops' fantastical powers?

Not really, Planes takes place in the same universe as Cars, but it's DisneyToon Studios that's behind Planes.

Well, the kids might end up enjoying this live-action version of Beyblade, even if the Beyblades' mystical powers don't end up translating well in GC.

Even then, I really don't have high hopes for it.
