Well that's good. Two popular titles are always a nice addition to the lineup and possibly a potential opportunity for expansion. Now I just wish I had more interest in those two titles. ^^;
(Watched the first eps of both. KareKano was okay, but I wanted my half-hour back from Utena)

Hopefully this also means they'll be coming to the CoLours block, as well. Seeing Spiral rerun for about the dozenth consecutive time is getting tiring, and some of the weekend shows are starting to wear out their welcome, as well.
Not meaning to sound rude or inconsiderate or anything—I really love seeing FUNimation shows on CoLours and tune in when I can—but the block really could do for some more fresh blood than just Dragon Ball.

Utena's a little odd, Joe, but it's worth hanging in for more than one episode because the story really does unfold into something majestic.
It'd be really nice to be able to catch Utena on television. There aren't individual releases of the DVD's, just boxsets, so the series has sort-of priced itself out of my immediate range.

Yup. The FUNimation Channel is equal opportunity anime. We play nice with others. Expect more shows from other places soon.

What? You don't get the channel? Have you called customer service like 5 times a week?
Call again and have your best friend's father-in-law's second cousin from his mother's side to call as well.
The more calls mean the more interest. The more interests means that more that the channel reps will know that people want the channel added to their line up.

That's all. So call, call, call.

Good choices! Utena is one of my favorite animes -only marred by a really horrible dub and alterations to the original lines that don't give the series justice, it would've been a better viewing experience for those who are following the show on the FUNi channel if they redid the dub.

I got the Rose Collection (First Season plus Movie) and the Black Rose collection (Second Season) for $17.26 each box for a total of $34.52 at deepdiscountdvd.com (apply code DD1123)
That's $4.93 for each DVD!!!
Just the Rose Collection itself can get you started for $17.26
I'm pretty sure I don't have to followup with any others comments other than, "Go get it!"

what?? you gotta watch more than the first episode. ikuni is a genius, especially in the later episodes. the show is brilliantly crafted and is a true work of art.

Good that Utena is getting to a broader audience... bad that it is the dub... one of the worst dubs I've attempted to sit through.

please dont judge two of the greatest shows ever by just one dubbed episode. especially utena which has such a sweet facade at the beginning and a less than mediocre dub

O_O Never thought I would see Utena screened on TV in the US, I'm stunned. Though I will say that the dub is absolutely awful, hope it doesn't put too many potential viewers off.
