Not surprised. The moment Kojima and Konami were fighting, I knew this game would be a victim. It's sad that Konami is such a petty child-like company. Speak ill of them? Boom! Blacklisted from receiving anything for reviewing. Choose to leave the company to do new things? Boom! There goes all your credits from the games you worked so hard on AND kiss goodbye any projects you had in development. Konami are a bunch of children sitting in the corner hugging the best toy in the kindergarten. It's sad. They're signing their own death warrant at this rate.

Well, at least we know for sure now.
That tends to be a problem for the industry as a whole. The credits that roll on the screen are almost always just the people that were there when the game was finished. From what I've read, this makes getting fired all the more painful because your name won't appear on the official credits and the employer might not be very good about letting you have a portfolio of the material you've worked on. |

Well, my husband will likely be slightly disappointed in this news. However, since likely whenever this game did come out it would've been for new gen systems only (which we currently don't own), he probably won't be too disappointed. :p

Guillermo del Toro, the guy who made Pacific Rim? Now I'm glad it's canceled.

Hey now, just because one of his films didn't live up to the hype it generated doesn't mean del Toro hasn't made some great films. Both the Hellboy movies were great, and Pan's Labyrinth is a classic. |

Guillermo del Toro, the guy who made The Devil's Backbone and Pan's Labyrinth. Because it's strange to call his action-blockbuster (and what's wrong with Pacific Rim?), when he has directed at least two movies which can be associated with Silent Hill style. |

Knowing whats been going on between Kojima and Konami, I'm not surprised. My sister will be upset when she finds out, she loves Silent hill.

It looks like this whole thing may be even bigger then Silent Hill or Kojima. Konami just removed itself from the New York stock exchange

With this power struggle going on I'm not surprised that anything that has "Kojima's" name on it is in danger.
I can understand why these fights happen in the business world, but God are they stupid. |

Well, the Smash Bros. DLC character survey indicates that people still want Snake in it.
In any case, the best thing for Kojima to do now is to make his own company or join up with his colleagues. His life is far from over. He's got plenty of choices. |

^Probably doesn't work like that. Konami owns Metal Gear Solid.
Hugely disappointed. I was looking forward to it too. |
