Lol, a TV drama. I haven't seen the movie before but good for the fans. I actually did enjoy the original TV anime series so I wonder how faithful they will adapt this according to the manga.

Are they going to cover the whole manga, Near and Mello, and all?

Well, we can only hope it'll be better than the movie

The mvovies cut out the 3rd part, the one where Near and Mello show up. Far better to have L defeat him than Near, so in that regard the movie was great. |

A Hollywood adaptation would be pretty cool. If done right.

I'm actually a Death Note fan who loved the Alternate Universe-ness of the movies. I mean, we already had the anime, why did the movie have to be 100% the same. |

If they dub this, I think it make to use the Ocean cast.

I thought that the Death Note shipped sailed after that mediocre L movie.

If they cut out Mikami again, then I will not watch it again.

Carnival Cruise. There's just no more stories to tell after L's out of the story, and as far as telling the original manga arc, once you get a stage musical, there's no road back. Like Sailor Moon Crystal, this feels like the sudden "second-generation push" for the license owners, without any real impetus except nostalgia for people who already know the original. |

There's been one in development hell for years. Frankly I feel it should stay there, but we'll see. |

That's the "Anime we've heard of in Hollywood" version, like the upcoming Ghost in the Shell, or the Akira version that will never die. |
