There are multiple Lugia in the anime but it would be neat if it was the same one from The Power of One movie; Satoshi/Ash flying on it brought back some deja vu.

Guess it'll be confirmed if Koichi Yamadera voices it again (he's always in a Pokemon movie) but apparently he's voicing Hoopa's Unbound Form and AFAIK seiyuu are only credited for one character and are uncredited for other roles within the same movie or anime episode...

Probably shouldn't be wishful anyway, even if the same Lugia the dub is probably too cheap at this point to get Eric Rath back (though to be fair even 4Kids didn't get Jay Goede back as Mewtwo for the Mewtwo Returns TV special because for years everyone thought "Philip Bartlett" was dead) so English cast consistency has never been this franchise's strength...

Cities in Pokémon movies tend to be based on real-world locations (like Altomare in Pokémon Heroes based off of Venice, Italy). I'm going to guess that this one takes place in the Pokémon world's counterpart to Dubai.

Also you don't know how long I've been waiting to see Ash become evil.

Even mainstream anime aren't below celebrity guest casting. Would be funny if the English dub does the same.

Unless, of course, the character(s) is/are major enough.

Hmm this will be the first Muslim/Arabic inspired Pokemon if I'm correct. I mean the Japanese title literally translates to The Archdjinni of the Rings: Hoopa and given how the other characters are dressed, hoopa's design "He's a genie for crying out loud."

I'm actually looking forward to this movie and I hope, truly hope it will live up to the hype.

It's already happened before back in Advanced Generation. One time Satoshi was possessed by an evil spirit of an ancient king and one of the Frontier Brains had to battle him to save him.

Aw, dangit, I missed that one! I think I would've loved it.

I got up early one morning simply to watch that recent Best Wishes episode with the impostor Ash because I figured this was the closest I'd get.

And while it's not specifically Muslim/Arabic, there is Numel, based on the Arabian camel. (Camerupt, both the normal and Mega forms, is based on the Bactrian camel though, and they live in Mongolia.)

actually he did that during his first battle with the frontier brain brandon.

also the movies taking the liking of real world cities have been a theme for a long time. the genesect movie was obviously based off of new york city and from the scenery of the forests, the coocon of destruction movie based off of canada.
