The video in this article is region blocked. I did watch it elsewhere but...not bad. I actually kinda like it so far especially with the OST and visuals. Looking forward to seeing more of the character visuals in the future.
Here's one that is non-region blocked: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5B5bcxvs8zI&feature=youtu.be&a |

This looks a lot better than I expected. The art and visuals look pretty stunning.

I'm very excited to see what Maeda brings to the table this time.

That looks pretty underwhelming. The visuals look kind of shitty by P.A. Works standards.

I'm trying to find a reason for it, but I can't. So I seem to agree with you on this. It does have its good backgrounds, but not as amazing even againts Angel Beats. But its Probably because the Shirobako character designer is in this project. Breathtaking visuals with average character designs wouldnt meld well IMO. So I guess they had to tone it down. Overall, this does seem cool. But we need good characters to make it stick. Im nervous that Aniplex will pick this up since they have been getting into the license/distribution buisness. |

Aniplex is involved in the production of Charlotte. At this point you can bet Aniplex USA will license it. |

Well thats gonna be BS if it comes to fruition. Unless if the show sucks. |

I liked the musical composition used in the PV.

I'm liking the designs better than Angel Beats, but there is something off about the main girl's design (I thin it's her eyes). I find the animation is on par ,if not better than Angel Beats (which wasn't by any means perfect). I do like PA works but I'm more of a fan of their backgrounds than character designs and movements.
I'm still very excited and enjoyed the PV very much. The main certainly guy is so much more cocky than any KEY protagonist I've seen. The music is fantastic too. |

Hoping PA Works doesn't let me down this time. Nagi-Asu (mostly the final 3rd of that one), Shirobako, and Glasslip have all let me down. Been awhile since I enjoyed a PA Works produced anime. Last one I really enjoyed was The Eccentric Family.

I really hope the abundance of half-assed closeups and bland shot composition in the trailer isn't indicative of how this anime is going to look overall. You'd almost forget these characters even had legs. P.A. Works is all about the backgrounds to me; I don't want huge faces taking up half of the screen all the time.
