Shame there's no dub for Mahouka, but 3 parts at $70-90? I can swing that.

Well, I'm happy that there's no Mahouka dub because it no longer poses the danger of showing up on Toonami.

Fab news about both. Would have been happy to pay above SAO prices for Mahouka so am super pleased at the great prices they've set. Should be around £60-70 then per set.

Makes sense to split them up into arcs also since there's no good cut off point so to speak otherwise.

Even dubbed wouldn't be for the toonami audience, too info heavy for them. They want action, action, action.

I'm liking the casting choices for Expelled From Paradise. That'll be fun to hear.

Editorial nitpick: erroneous reference to "Exiled from Paradise" in 12th graf.

Of course, now that AoA's newer titles are getting release announcements, I wonder how much longer I wait before I accept that Mekakucity Actors isn't getting an R1 home video release…

Bonuses for the limited edition include a making-of video, trailers, box art illustration by character designer Masatsugu Saitō, a booklet that will include an interview with Gen Urobuchi, and a pin-up card. The limited edition will retail for US$64.98 with a store price of US$49.98.

The Japan limited version will include the original soundtrack but no sub/dub, and retails as import on cdjapan at ~US$66. Not sure if that exchange is worth it, especially for collectors?

I hate when aniplex of america gets a series I like. It is always a toss up if there will be a dub. At least with funimation I know if they are doing a dvd release there will be a dub.

not anymore. now-a-days, there's a small chance of them releasing a show with no dub. grand total of 4 right now

A limited edition with Dub, buncha neat on disc extras, some physical extras all for about $50? I gotta say, for Aniplex that actually isnt too bad. That's a price Im actually willing to pay for all that. That said, I haven't seen or am too familiar with the movie in question. I know Urobuchi worked on it, thats the only thing that really has my interest.

Is it worth it to buy and check out?

Not too bad so 209.94 total for the entire series shipped for 26 episodes on Blu-Ray, I plan on buying it.

So the break down according to the article is as follows:

Mahouka Blu Ray part 1 ep 1-7

Mahouka Blu Ray part 2 ep 8-18

Mahouka Blu Ray part 3 ep 19-26

That's a hell of a lot better than importing the series at over 600 dollars with the current exchange rate and no english subtitles.

It looks like AoA is again adjusting their pricing. $50 for the Exiled from Paradise limited edition BD is a great price. It would have been better if the standard edition was $30. The first SAO II BD set is also $20 less than the BD sets for season 1. The BD set for SAO II seems to come wiith less swag though.

I agree on both counts. I really want to buy that movie but when I heard Aniplex was getting it I sort of sighed to myself and wondered how much it would set me back. For a limited edition BD from them this is not a bad price at all. Much more reasonable.

To me it sounds the same.

For those who don't know, the SAO II LE contains the following:
- Original Soundtrack CD Vol.1
- Exclusive Weiss Schwarz Collectible PR Card
- 24-page Deluxe Booklet
- Postcard Set
- Package illustrated by abec (Original Character Design)
- Clear BD Cases with 2-sided Wraps

I checked the official SAO II website in case anyone's asking.

I hope for once it will have a chipboard artbox for consistency but we'll have to find out once the final artwork is revealed.

Oh, and for those who want to get Season 1 on Blu-ray. Rightstuf have put up standard editions for all four volumes at $74.98 each. It's out May 12th.

Mahouka should have been big enough to dub IMO, and I would have liked one with all the talking in that show, so I'm a bit surprised by that, but I'm really glad that Expelled from Paradise is getting dubbed!

And the three cast members so far are well picked and some of my favs, can't wait Smile

Yeah, I like that I pretty much know that any show I end up liking with Funi will almost certainly get a dub.

They (and Sentai recently) also make some weird choices about not dubbing some things that seem big enough to get them. Aldnoah for example, better get a dub.

It's gotten some quite good reviews, if you like scifi it seems like a good choice.

In addition to Urobuchi, it's also got director Seiji Mizushima who did some of my favorites like Gundam 00 and the first Fullmetal Alchemist, so I'm looking forward to it since I expect he's done a great job here too.

Pretty good in my opinion. But falls to mediocre due to it being much too short. Could have had an entire 12ep season with what it attempted to tell, maybe 24. Still much better than the usual B-rate anime.

Aniplex... for that price? Now I'm really tempted.
