I'm kinda sleep deprived, but for a second I thought I heard Strobe Ecchi instead of Edge (Ejji). I think I'm gonna go sleep now.

Found zero (0) drawings with the sodekuru tag (yeah, used hiragana and kanji/hiragana) in pixiv, I think the media is exaggerating the popularity of this. I supposed that if this was really so popular there would already be some Witchcraft Works drawings of it Sad

Nope. Don't see the attraction. I'm sure the other side of the audience does since their hands are basically hanging right above their dreams (or on if he's a pervert/sce-be/hentai/eyadanay).

I'd be lying if I said I understood this in the least.

I get it, people are talking about it on twitter, but the lack of selfies actually showing said position makes me skeptical that it really is a thing with japanese.

Hahaha!! Japan's way of making every thing into a Thing will never cease to fascinate and amuse me. But the scene in the clip was cute. And it seems better-intentioned and less aggressive than kabe-don, so there's that.

I think it has something to do with the cat at the end.

I could be wrong.

I can somehow understand the noise around Kabe-don because it does look cool. Like Thoth's signature Kabe-don in every Kamigami Asobi episode, it was just awesome. But this just feels unnecessarily invasive. Like, dude, I can roll up my own sleeves, thank you.

Well unlike a lot of other odd quirks and positions to take selfies of and whatnot, this has fairly exacting requirements. There aren't that many tall people around, and I doubt most girls are going to request tall strangers to roll up their sleeves from behind when their boyfriends don't meet the requirement. They can talk about the wish to though, as they are doing.

As for fanart, I am pretty sure this would look odd in a drawing anyway, so won't really be a big thing there.

Japanese just finding excuses to be romantic to each other (they tend to be "cold" people). Laughing

What's next, pottery?

Kinda cumbersome to take selfies when all their hands are occupied Laughing
(Otherwise, put it on a stable surface, turn on the timer, and time it just right.)

It's basically the erotic-ankle-thing. Apparently guys hesitate to even hug their girlfriends, so no wonder everyone gets all giddy about the slightest hint of bodily contact. :/
