So there's love for Ronald McDonald after all. Good to know that.

*sigh* Celestial Method... Sad

It pains me to see series like Sora no Method Gonna be the Twin Tails on the bottom. Especially in SnMs case since it was the studios first project. At least Shirobako is doing well. I'm quite enjoying that series!

Gundam Reco's numbers went up quite a bit for volume two. Still not very high, but I'm surprised.

Aldnoah.Zero's numbers seem to have dropped quite a bit. I wonder if many potential buyers were turned off (rightfully so) by the S1 finale.

Also GSNK seems kind of low? It was averaging over 10k...

Lastly, the excellent Rage of Bahamut Genesis's sales numbers aren't great, but considering the show almost didn't even get a BD release, I guess they're decent. I was hoping for better, but oh well.

Shirobako and Nozaki-kun on the list makes me so happy, I don't care about the rest. I just want those 2 to get sequels!

That's quite disappointing, really. The show was, for me, one of the pleasant surprises of the Fall 2014 season. The premise itself sounded interesting, but the story managed to carry it for nearly the entire 13 episodes (I have a little gripe with the show's ending, but not anything deal-breaker).

"Buying anime is for rich people" - 2ch Laughing

Way more than half can't muster the sales to recoup costs from disc sales alone (they'd have to rely on merch, figures, manga, books, other licensing deals). Makes perfect sense considering most people would be have to decide between paying rent or buying anime if they bought more than a couple shows a year, out of 160+ shows, even if they liked most of them.

Even if Shirobako gets a S2, what other production issues can they have a story about? With the way they're going, it seems like they covered a good overview of what goes on in the background.
