The author is suffering bec of Toei's bland adaptation of his manga which was too disappointing to handle.

Although I don't read/watch the series, when I saw this headline, I think HxH did cross my mind. Heck, HxH should be synonymous with "hiatus".

Sleep deprivation and overwork strikes another mangaka, when will this preventable cycle of madness end.

I don't think people often realize just HOW tough the WSJ creators have it. Publishing an 18-24 page comic, the equivalent page count to a western monthly, EVERY week when often they are bother the author and the illustrator is pure madness.

Hope he gets well, World Trigger remains one of the highlights of the current WSJ line-up.
Also those dismembered teens.

@Hawkmonger & Hoppy800: While I know that the pressure of doing weekly chapters is taxing, I'd think with all the hiatuses HxH has had, 1 would think that Togashi is better now and continue the manga.

Which suggests his illness is pretty damn serious.

The thing though is how often is he actually sick during some of those hiatuses and how often he uses that excuses for other hiatuses.

Yeah, I don't mind having less content if it means the authors are not as overworked.
Though it looks like some of them, like Eiichiro Oda, enjoy this kind of workload.
