Looking for recomendations in 2 categories:
1) Harem Comedy. I've seen: Love Hina, Ichigo100%, Chobits, AMG, Ai Yori Aoshi, Mahoraba~Heartful Days. I love all of these for the same basic reasons: Character variety, sexual tension, the occasional ecchi scene and a male lead who I can usually relate too. But interesting charecters are a must. Belldandy, Chii, Narsegawa, Motoko, Kozue, Haruhi Suzumiya (also seen, but not listed above - not a Harem Comedy) are such amazing and memorable characters. And Harem Comedies seem to always have so many like this! (Although my fav's are Mahller (AMG) and Erika Vermillion (MHD) because they're so dark and creepy!) So based on that, what should I see next? I was thinking about Vandread... Anyone like that one? (also Tenchi Muyo, the classic HC, but that series has so many different titles, I'm not sure where to start.) 2) Action: I've only seen FMA, Bubblegum Crisis (the original) and Mai Hime. I love them all, but FMA and MH in particular due to the deeper story line that is going on, revealed in bits and pieces, via twists and turns; and the philosphical undertones that color both of those series. In that way I just can't get really into Naruto, DBZ or One Piece. I definitely plan to watch Cowboy Bebop, but I was wondering what others y'all might recomend. (ElfenLied would seem to satisfy both, maybe?) Basically I'm looking for something in Action which is dead serious, and something in Harem Comedy which is dead funny. So what do you think? |

If I remember right Elfenlied is not funny at all very bloody and gory, good for action. I know they are cliche and many people probably would not recommend but if you are going to watch Cowboy Bebop you might as well watch Trigun,(allthough not dead serious), Outlaw Star, Escaflowne.
I don't really know much about this Harem Comedy you speak of but I thought FLCL(Fooly Cooly) was pretty darn weird but funny |
