It was already announced that the brooms will utilize Subaru's engines' noises as for the sound effects, but hearing even the start-up noise...

Well I like Subaru, Gainax is cool, and the ona's were nice, so I'll check this out. And those modern magical girl brooms with their car sounds.

I suppose this will be one of those mahou shoujo anime series that seems childish, but it's actually aimed at young adults or something. I'll watch it because I watched the shorts ages ago. They were... alright, nothing special.

Man...........
Remember when GAINAX used to make stupid awesome shows with adventure, crazy sci-fi elements and something that broke the mold of how anime was viewed?
RIP GAINAX.....until Aoki Uru, if it actually happens.

Yeah, and then core of the creative department left to found other studios leaving Gainax a dump studio.

They've lived on borrowed time since at least the early 90s. Really, only Eva (and to some extent, Gurren Lagann) kept them around the whole time as infighting and the pressures of TV anime could've sunk them long ago.
The problem with Gainax is that their original philosophy and approach to creation never worked for anything beyond movies and short OVAs. They kept working like a college club without structure, long-term business aims, or clear leadership. The product itself would drastically change as it passed from one hand to another.
The guys who flourished (who have been described by Gainax management as a far more structured bunch, like a typical studio. There's clear leadership/hierarchy and the vision is stamped in early on) joined the company much later, and there was always this divide between what they wanted to do and what senior management wanted.

I can't believe it's actually finally really happening! This is exciting! (I kinda liked Subaru's transformation sequence better in the net version though, it was sparklier and glitterier!)
