Well glad to see the new Pokemon game is selling very well.
So I expect the number to go higher if the European sales come in soon. |

I went to the midnight release at my local GameStop. Hopefully Pokemon can always pull off sales like this, it would make me very happy.

Someone else was enjoying her copies as well... in more ways than one:

Why am I not surprised? Oh, right, because RSE were, and continue to be, the most favourited Pokemon games of all the generations.
Enjoy your games, Pokefans. I quit a long time ago... |

Got my copies in the mail on Monday. It's no surprise that I'm loving it so far. These were my favorite games.

And she's one of the people SELLING the game to fans on television (she's the host navigator for GetTV, the information TV show about Pokemon that also re-runs older episodes for Japanese fans). Shoko-tan is a total geek through and through. Haha. |

Oh, I didn't know that to be honest. |

Well, she's not geeking as a way to sell the games. She's known for being a little wacky and tends to put things she likes in her mouth (she had a series of photos when she got her Pokemon-edition 3DS and Y version where she did the same thing). She always geeks about stuff she likes and is usually one of the first celebrities to play and beat the Pokemon games on her own time. She also draws guro (she's actually a great artist, despite some of the content of the stuff she illustrates), has a gross sense of humor, and geeks over "hot men" all the time. It's actually suspected that she has a real harem with her male support band and unlike other female idol controversies, Japanese fans of hers tend to laugh about it and make jokes because even if it's not true, it still seems like something she'd do. She's a pretty independent woman for her age and public status and I consider her my favorite TV personality in Japan. And if it wasn't evident from before, she's also a singer and voice actress, and tends to work on classic projects (Saint Seiya Omega first Opening theme, lots of Pokemon themes) or voice act cute characters (she does at least one Pokemon film character every year now) because she loves it--not because she's a great voice actress or popular for her roles. And she likes releasing anime cover albums, both for free and through her management production. To conclude, she's just all-around awesome and it's no surprise that she would [pretend to] eat her games, considering her honest, but enjoyable personality. |
