My condolences to Stan Sakai. These last few years must have been incredibly hard for him.

This is just heartbreaking to hear. When I met Stan Sakai at SDCC many years ago he was very warm and friendly, and it's just awful that this sort of sadness has to present itself to such a nice individual. My heart and condolences go out to him and his family.

This is extremely sad news. To think they'd known each other since ELEMENTARY SCHOOL...Stan is 61, that means they would have met roughly half a century ago...I can't imagine what it would be like to have someone in your life that long, and then lose them.
Stan Sakai is one of the most talented comic artists who ever worked in the medium, and Sharon, by all accounts, was his biggest fan and supporter. My heart goes out to him and his family.

What a sad announcement. I hope he can find some peace and look at his children to help remember her. My condolences.
