Wow, at this point it sounds like I'm more interested in this book than watching the show itself. I've certainly got nostalgic feelings for the show but honestly it hasn't aged very well. That's a neat idea, documenting old series instead of owning them outright. Consider me sold!

Immediately sent this link to my brother. He helped me get into anime via Voltron/Robotech/etc (and by extension/unaware to him, Sailor Moon).
Sounds like a really interesting read. I'll have to keep an eye out on this one! |

Ah, another one who preferred the Vehicle Voltron! (For what it's worth, in my opinion, the anime off of which Vehicle Voltron was based, Dairugger, holds up a bit better than Go Lion does. It still has a lot of what I'd call Super Robot Logic -- which of course has little to do with actual logic -- and I think that its protagonists are kind of bland, but I appreciate that its antagonists were not all one-note villains who were bad for the sake of being bad.) |

After reading the review, I have a feeling that this book is created just to make money off from nostalgia of people who watched Voltron during the 80's.

I just don't care for the design of GoLion/Voltron itself. You'd think that all the sad and far uglier US reboots would have killed off what ever interest there was left in this brand but baffling enough it still thrives according to this book.
