Over at AnimeonDVD.com, they've just put up the solicitation details for the new Gunbuster set. All 6 episodes and whatever else for $64 or so US (less after online discounts of course), but it's good that this is finally coming out. Haven't seen it yet, but I'm looking forward to it.
Anyone else?

It looks like it's another Honneamise release! I really love the LE Patlabor movies that Bandai released earlier this year and have been waiting eagerly for more titles in this line. I noticed that both Patlabor films (as well as Honneamise) are classic titles that were released by Bandai in Japan and had other companies get the US rights back in the 90s. Bandai has been getting the rights back for these titles and did an amazing job with the Patlabor films.
Gunbuster fits this description since I believe it was originally released by Bandai Emotion in Japan, and USMC (or one of those other smaller US companies) in the states. The other hint is that Image Entertainment has a stamp on the Honneamise titles. I wonder if there is going to be 2 version of this release as well. The bonus material is not as extravegant as the Patlabor releases, but it is a bit cheaper. I can't a version with more stuff for over $65, but can imagine a cheaper version without all the extras since $65 is a bit steep for 2 typical DVDs.
It's funny, but my room is so dark (no windows) that I didn't realize that the two Patlabor boxes are actually different colors! I like the subtle gold and silver differences.
