I just started this series and didn't see any threads on the first few pages, so here goes:
I really liked the first episode -- cool dream intro, catchy ass song playing in the neighbor's apt, and a pretty good job of portraying the main character's state of mind. The sequence where he "realizes" what NHK stands for is funny, and has a nifty soundtrack going. The mysterious girl doesn't really do much yet, but she seems cute and intriguing so we'll see. Also, the OP is nice and the ED is weird but growing on me. Anyway, I'm just starting the manga as well and I'd heard that the anime veers away somewhat and comes across MUCH milder. I'll certainly wait to form my own opinion as I watch more of it, but I'm curious if those of you watching this show think it does drop off a bit, or does it stay good throughout? Like I said, I'm just starting the manga now so I don't have any preconceived expectations about the plot or anything. Basically, I'm wondering how many of you are following this show. To be honest, after hearing some negative buzz I put off starting NHK for a few weeks, but I'm really surprised at how much I liked the beginning now that I'm finally giving it a chance. If you haven't seen/read this, you might want to check it out. |

Ya, im totally in love with this show, the pace changes at about episode 13 though and the theme songs, MAN The opening is nice but then it changed slightly to a more serous version of the song and what was once the AWESOMEST ending ever wentto a bleh song and i didn like it

i've watched like 7 episodes of it so far, and i think it's great. they do a good job of portraying the nerdy Otaku. so they change the ending song later? that's so disappointing.

Just started to watch this series yesterday because everybody seemed to have postive comments about it.
I watched the ep 1 and 2 soo far and i must say that it got me hooked on like Haruhi Suzimiya. I love the Opening for NHK. The song 'Puzzle' matches well with the opening animation and colours. The first time i saw the Ending, it made me laugh with the 'Ababababababa' lyrics. NHK looks promising and interesting. -DaZ |
