Dang, 4 episodes only and then they ask that price? That is insane... I hope when it hits Europe MAnga UK or MVM wont ask this ridicules prices. I wonder if anyone is stupid enough to actually pay this ridicules prices. I dont deny that Kill la Kill is a great anime though.

I wouldn't go as far as calling them "stupid". Some consumers are more money conscious than others.
I've been noticing a lot of speculation about the Kill la Kill European release. It is crazy that fans are IMPORTING discs from Europe to be able to afford it. I can't believe that Aniplex has pushed them that far I wonder if they read these forums? That is a pretty serious matter.

I consider 8 dollar per episode ridicules high lol. I can live with around 1 to max of 3 dollar per episode. The most expensive anime i collected was Sword Art Online. About 70 euro for the whole season. But that was only since i was addicted to SAO, otherwise i wouldve waited months for a cheaper compleet boxset.

The individuals that you are referring to (those who refuse to spend more than $30 on a series) are individuals that AoA doesn't care about. AoA's goal has always been to cater to the hardcore fans who import series on a regular basis and are willing to pay more for a quality release. At the end of the day, as long as those people continue to buy (which they will), AoA will be satisfied as far as the bottom line is concerned.

It's not really crazy. Hell, I did it for Madoka and Bakemonogatari. Just waiting on Fate/Zero. Even added in the cost of a Multi-Zone BD player, I saved hundreds of dollars for those two series alone.

Hell, more power to you if you don't mind passing on the bonus materials. I love thebooklets and CDs part of the reason why I just straight up order from Japan instead of waiting to see what will happen domestically.
