Yes Kadokawa, fight this law I don't want to see the manga butchered or discontinued because a few senile old tyrants think it's unhealthy. This sanitation of manga must stop before things start being banned outright.

What the hell is going in in Imouta Paradise 2 thats WORSE than Yosuga no Sora in terms of promoting Incest? Yosuga no Sora went as far as you can go... |

Have these people not heard of the Barbara Streisand Effect? The more you try to cover it up, the more people will want to see it out of curiosity.
For instance. I watched Yosuga no Sora out of this same curiosity. I wouldn't say that it is "promoting" incest, given that Kobato (err, Sora) ended up spoiler[killing herself and getting her brother killed in his attempt to save her], because SIBLINGS HAVING SEX IS RATHER FROWNED UPON. Actually the series reminded me of one of those Reefer Madness! type 50s shows (or the Futurama robo-fever parody) as far as how over-the-top it went. You can boink your friends, you can boink your friends' friends, and there's no drama whatsoever, but you boink one sister and you cross a line. Even IF she's so into you that she doesn't care if your friends walk in on you. |

I'm feeling a great deal of sadness for the artist.

"People who are 18 can still buy it, so shut up and stop complaining!"
............. You were saying??????
I agree. This is moral/thought policing at its worst. |

Well, at least a voluntary recall means bookstores without an adult section don't have to toss their copies in the bin. Though, honestly, I think the reason why Yosuga no Sora got a free pass and this didn't is because of the ending. It's demonizing incest ("See what happens when you do stuff like this??") rather than glorifying it or passing it off as acceptable, since this sequel features the children of the first incestuous couple.

This is the "Chilling Effects" (from Goggle) that the designation has.
You can no longer buy it. Kind of sad to watch this play out exactly as most of us thought it would. |

Shintaro Ishihara's former deputy & vice governor, Naoki Inose, strongly supported Bill 156.
animenewsnetwork.com/news/2010-08-30/4000-protest-takashi-murakami-versailles-exhibit After Ishihara resigned, Inose took his place. animenewsnetwork.com/news/2012-12-16/shintaro-ishihara-naoki-inose-projected-to-win-elections One year later, Inose was involved in a loan scandal & was forced to resign as Tokyo governor. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Naoki_Inose#Money_scandal_and_resignation Last edited by revolutionotaku on Sat May 17, 2014 12:05 am; edited 1 time in total |

With this manga,I have a question. Is this going to show up in the United States? Because I sincerely doubt that it will.

Don't see how it can, since it has been recalled, and Amazon has banned its sales. |

I'm glad of that,TarsTarkas. That manga is too creepy for my tastes.

Yes, this is exactly why laws like this are so dangerous. Companies will become afraid to publish anything that might be deemed unacceptable, and not only will they be unavailable to minors but to adults as well. What will it be that bothers them next time? This is why a chilling effect is considered a vital consideration in US first amendment cases. |
