So the obvious question here is why did they cancel it? Was it just not worth it anymore?

Catherine St-Onge, a 32-year-old Canadian..... just announced earlier this month that she was dropped from her agency amuleto (run by 5pb.), and is in danger of having to return to Canada if she does not have a new contract by the beginning of May.
The bodywork must have finally caught up to the mileage, however surely that wasn't the only reason that she went to live in Japan?

This should probably go in the HIMEKA talkback thread rather than the Anison Grand Prix talkback thread, but anyay:

Wikipedia suggests that pursuing an anison singing career the reason that HIMEKA went to live in Japan.

I saw HIMEKA at 5pb Live November 2013, and she was quite pleasant and genuine, but didn't seem very comfortable listening and responding quickly in Japanese.

She is still quite attractive and has friends amongst other respected Japanese anison artists, but even for a Japanese person, a singing career in Japan isn't easy.

She made a good effort in what she did, and if she returns to Canada there is no reason for her to be ashamed.

As far as Anison Grand Prix goes, maybe the organisers could no longer give the winner the kind of deal that they had given previous winners?
