When people ask where to buy import OSTs online, I saw most people would mention places like YesAsia and CD Japan, but hardly ever Play-Asia. Then I here people saying it's either good or bad (I'm assuming people are either saying it's legit or not). This is my only experience: I ordered Saiko Every Day (Pokemon Diamond And Pearl New Intro Theme) [CD+DVD Limited Edition] from there and after that, I learned about bootlegging (because I bought some OSTs from eBay) and not only did I check the legitimacy from the Robert's Anime Corner Bootleg guide and places like Amazon.jp but VGMdb too because it had all the images of the Soundtrack. And yet because not everyone's on the same page, I still feel a little paranoid and I don't know why. I just want to make sure I don't have anything to worry about when ordering from there as they have great prices for things I like.

Bad.

1-Play-Asia, right off the bat, inflates the prices of its' products by 10% minimum. And for no real reason.

2-They don't follow manufacturer discounts unless they're product marked budget releases, like say Greatest Hits of Player's Choice. You might find one here and there, most of the time, nope.

3-They tend to keep a pitifully low stock of high-sought import goods. Wanna get that newest Bleach or Naruto game, kids!? Well, you got a week or two at most upon release before it's gone for good... In this respect, Yesasia utterly trumps them.

4-They follow Japanese publisher MSRP....very rarely. What's a good example...? How bout that MGS Anniversary set? When converted from yen to dollar, the set would cost about...eh, let's call it an even $70. Play-Asia's conversion goes for about $120.

5-Absolutely staggering shipping prices. So! You found a really cool, limited edition DJ Max portable in a nice wooden box display! What's that!? It's only $25! It's a bargain! Okay, add to cart... Click, click... Check out... Select shipping.... Huh? ...The lowest is $55? Sad panda. Retarded deal. Although, somewhat excusable since they ship from Hong Kong. Still, for deals like that, they seriously ought to post shipping costs up-front.

6-Damaged/missing goods. A long long while ago, I purchased the original Persona PSX import from them. Budget version, used, for $20. Said it was in near-mint condition, tested. Clean case. Included spine card, all that bollocks. Case was like shit (maybe even literally covered in it...), spine card was missing, manual was in terrible shape. I excused it since the game disc was near mint.

I understand, but I just want to make sure I don't have to worry about dealing with any Honk Kong or Taiwanese Bootlegs on stuff that I've been seeing a lot more these days.

Play-Asia, and as far as I know Yesasia, only sell legit stuff.
