How well has the series sold in the U.S.? All things considered, I'm a little surprised that the manga hasn't been picked up.
At any rate, I hope that TWGOK's fans have an ending they can be satisfied with.

Wow... That's kind of abrupt. Usually authors like to announce that they are going into the last arc, not just ending it right away. I've watched the animes and read the manga, I hope they do another season based on the Dokuro Arc but chances are they probably won't.
Overall, its been a good series. Hope he can make another interesting manga after this.

That's sad to hear.
Hopefully, this would mean another anime in the works.

I kind of lost interest in the series after the Goddesses arc - much like the author himself really. I'm {not} kind of surprised he was able to stretch it out this far.
A good ending? Don't know what that would be anymore.

How many more series and/or OVA's could they get out of the manga if they wanted to?
I've seen pretty much all of what's made so far. At least one more would be welcome

Thank god I stopped reading the series awhile back because it just wasn't that interesting anymore and the current arc just was so boring. I'm 35 chapters behind but maybe I'll force myself through it now that I know it will end really soon.

I myself have been enjoying the series ever since the Goddess hunt arc and hearing this is kind of a shock. I knew we were closer to an ending but I didn't expect it to be this soon I thought there'd be one last arc first...
Hope the remaining chapters are satisfying!

Considering it felt like the chapters kept getting shorter and dragged out, it seems like a good thing. After the goddesses arc & the current arc, it feels like there wouldn't be that much left to the story.
Although the current chapter feels like the ending will bewith Keima & Tenri together. As his letter indicates Ayumi and the others have been friend-zoned. Plus it seems like there was some personal stuff that he wrote to Tenri.

Well, between seasons 2 and 3, they skipped 2 seasons' worth of content, and there's about one more season's worth after the Goddess arc to ending things off, so I suppose the answer would be 3.

This is kind of a shock, even for someone who is caught up to the latest chapter. I thought that they would squeeze at least one more arc out of it. But it does feel like this arc is almost over. I really wish this manga would get related in America, it is one of my favorites. They could probably make a 20 episode anime to wrap up the series, if they wanted they might be able to do 12 eps, but it will probably not happen, the anime just doesn't make money, so unless they want to release a final season out of the goodness of their hearts, it probably won't happen.

I hope this means they'll finish adapting it into anime at some point.

Sad to see it end
But every good series has to end at some point.
The world god only knows was my number 1 manga to read weekly.
If the manga became available in the U.S I would have bought all the volumes.
Good job Wakaki sensei on this beautiful series

Also, manga mag circulations haven't been as good as they've been, so publishers tend to be quicker on the draw when a series is waning. They'd rather end it and start something new ASAP. No more manga for an anime to promote.
