This was interesting... plus if you look closley "Dragon Ball Z if it was done by Rob Liefeld", Vegeta has Youngblood's Disase.
It's a nice touch...

Wow, this is a nice info and pictures, but this is not going to make some anime "purists" happy if you publish that along with the picture. Might want to make sure this thread doesn't get out of control filled with hate, soapboxing, and bashing the artists, calling it "whitewash" and "racism" that came up with reimagining anime characters as western comic.

It's what anime would look like as western comics. Though only about half of them look like an authentic western comic adaption. The rest just look like random fanart to be honest. Akira is probably the closest one, and Champloo does looks like your typical gritty indie comic like Chew or something.
They should call that Cowboy Bebop one Cowboy Boom, though.

Jack Kirby's Akira would have been something else.
The Kirby ones are my favorites, mostly because well...Jack effing Kirby. His style is so different from the originals that they give off a totally different vibe.

That Liefeld one is no good.. you can see Vegeta's feet!
People give Liefeld a lot of heat but at least he draws. I'd love to see a Greg Land parody of a One Piece action splash page where the characters are traced from porn pictures and all have O faces

They were all pretty cool but my favorite one was Chobits by Rachel Ordway. It was simple but really cute at the same time.

Some look really ridiculous and dumb like the Naruto one and DBZ but the others are pretty cool to see.

I thought most of them were terrible, but the Samurai Champloo one was amazing.

Akira and Samurai Champloo are pretty awesome. Although being completely different from their anime originals, they manage to capture some of the essence of the characters and tone of the shows, reimagined. Very cool.

I didn't like any of that but im not really surprised about that as one of the main reasons i love manga is i get on better with the artwork in most of it, that's not to say i find all western comic art bad but the stuff that takes my fancy is harder to hit upon.
Anyway its artists having some fun, more power to em.

I usually love seeing this stuff go the other way, Japanese artists interpretations of western characters tend to look great.
