The mice sketches remind me of the cabaret scene from Basil the Great Mouse Detective...

Makes you wonder what's truly up with your favorite mangaka, novelist, or character designer. There could be sketches and short stories we'll never see that we might want to look at or read.

I love Tezukas stories. So original and beautiful . It's amazing what you can find within authors homes. What they leave behind or ideas that never came to be

Her post says she's only posting the ones that are "still just barely cute," which means we don't get to see the interesting ones...hehehe Apparently some of them are pretty "shocking."

Maybe he was practicing for one of the characters in Bagi.

So... Tezuka, the acclaimed "godfather" of anime and manga, was a furry? Looks like we all have a new fetish to aspire to, people!
Considering how much sex Tezuka illustrated in his various manga, this very well might be true for him. |

It's always a joy to me to see the rough ideas and sketches of animators and artists I admire! This is a real treat. I'm not much of a forum poster but I couldn't resist the urge to share some of my thoughts based on experiences I've had while learning the art of... well art!
I can assure you that 99% of all artist have at some point created "erotic" works of art, be it for personal use or for public consumption. However a lot of artists will try to hide the fact that they do such, and if some wish to profit off of such works they will do so under aliases. It's really not just limited to things considered "erotic" in nature. It could be things that they have a guilty pleasure of and don't wish others to know about, such as a person having a locked drawer full of Pinky Fluff Fluff Magical Kingdom of Rainbows merchandise when that persons peers recognize them for their love of all things brutal and dissonant. Think of the embarrassment that individual would have if their dark and trendy friends went rummaging through their stuff and found said merchandise? It's really no different for artists to do this. Since the job of an artist requires acting upon something from ones imagination, be it his/her own, or a clients, to bring it to reality so others can experience it, they need practice. How do artists practice, draw/sculpt/paint/ect... things from their own imaginations that they'd like to see. Since humans natrually think about things sexual in nature from time to time, many artists consider it good material to practice on, even if they end up destroying it or locking it away somewere after they're finished with it. Even Frank Franzetta has done erotic material. So with that in mind, there are MANY skillful female artists out there. As with some artists whom aren't afraid to show their erotic or fetish related works, there are just as many female artists making a living crafting these works as there are male. I've had the pleasure of being invited to private streams and events through word of mouth of both male and female artists making erotic comics and animations. I have to say it was tough to sit through some of these at first, as I'm extermely shy of the human figure let's just say, I found myself learning a lot being able to participate in those events as I could ask questions and get great advice from someone having success in the art industry! |
