Whaaat? Man, I just finished reading this, and it's soooo good! Though I guess I should be grateful that it's been more than just a one-shot. ^^; Still, I hope this means that the mangaka gets to end this on her own terms!

I've really enjoyed this manga, especially the first few chapters where my mouth was largely agape from all the horrible stuff that Nishimiya's classmates did to her.

spoiler[Especially when they ripped her hearing aides from her ears and destroyed them. It's one thing to rip up her notebook, but it's another to pull out devices that were attached in her eardrums...]

I'm looking forward to the ending and I hope it ends on good terms for Nishimiya.

Kids can be cruel, even those who later grow up to be good people who couldn't believe the regretful things they used to do.

Three more volumes and not three more chapters, right? So there's still quite a bit to go.

While long running series are good, it's also good when an author has a precise plan for how the story will go.

Three volumes sounds just about right, after hearing TWGOK ending in another volume I came back to check the length for this. This series has been great but I couldn't imagine it running for a long time.

Yesh!! 3 more volumes.

I literally devoured the first 3 volume today and coincedentally saw this article. I should keep checking news from time to time so not to miss gems like this.

Anyway at first I thought of this series to be just average but then what won me over was its characterization. The way the author portrays each of the characters personality was believable.

Could be taken as an eye opener for bullying and the consequences it could afflict to its victim. So far the manga manages to be so engaging without dwelling to much on sappiness. I rarely like main protagonist but here I gotta give Ishida Shouya a big props for turning his life around and correcting the mistakes he has done and for owning up the responsibilities of his previous actions. I also love the fact the main female protagonist has hearing disability. It made the series more special.

The series is just excellent and so fresh. Would love to see Kodansha release this in the future. We need more slice of life series.

I like series' like this that show the difficulties people with disabilities face in Japan in particular and around the world in general. Myself having a sister with a disability, this series really hit home for me.
