Karen Bernstein?! THIS could be great. She hasn't attended any sort of con since the 90s. She's very private, and we know little about her and her perspective on voicing Sailor Mercury.
With that said, Susan Roman and Katie Griffin have each been to TONS of cons in the last year and a half, but almost all have been up in Canada. Stephanie Morgenstern is awesome too, especially since she co-created Flashpoint as well.
While I wish it was Terri Hawkes at the con, Linda Ballantyne IS a very nice person, and she's great with the fans. Terri did her "trifecta" of three conventions (including one in the US), and then one more at Unplugged Expo. I'm not surprised she's not here.
I know I'm totally geeking out here, and I'm not even the biggest fan of the Sailor Moon English dub, but I still get excited at the faces behind the voices I remember so fondly.

Funny...we're actually getting the same guests for Wonderland Anime Festival 2014 in Winnipeg. Heck, the guests were at Anime Revolution this past year.
But...Linda Ballantyne? Sheesh...I just couldn't deal with her dub voice for Sailor Moon. She was just a really bad Terri Hawkes imitator!

OMG, stop it! My heart can take it.
I agree, I don't really like Linda's voice that much either, but I 'm still so overwhelmed.

I wonder if Stephanie Morgenstern would be willing to read an excerpt from the Codename: Sailor V manga in her Sailor Venus voice if someone were to provide her with a copy?

Good for fans who enjoyed their work.
However I feel like when AX 2014 comes that they may not be so relevant anymore; assuming that when the new reboot is licensed it'll most likely have a different and better dub cast

Was I the only one who thought "Finally! Sailor Moon news!" When they saw the image on the ANN homepage? ^^; Ah, and so the wait continues...

Yeah, either that new anime is getting delayed again, or it's a zero budget ONA on NicoNico. I'd rather it not exist at all over the second option.

Honestly don't care about US VAs. They're a dime a dozen, and not what I would consider AX caliber. Now, had they been able to snag several Japanese seiyuu, I would be impressed. But maybe they're doing something similar to what Animazement did in 2013, and invite both the Japanese and US VAs.
I would like to hope that this means we'll get other Sailor Moon related guests this year. I would love to see some character designers or animation directors who worked on Sailor Moon this year. Especially Ikuko Ito.

Something tells me that something big is happening for Sailor Moon, so they got the dub cast reunited, I wonder if the news of Sailor Moon anime coming back in the US will happen at some point. It would be great news if Sailor Moon anime got relicense for US release.

even IF Funi does get the rights for franchise and new series. They old dub cast can do still set up voice demos to see they still got it and biggest problem they have to go through best of the best to reprise their roles one more time.

Im really impressed by this. Now for a refresh on my life experiencing this show...............nothing really special.
I did hear the name in the 90s some time ago but my family was conservatively upstuck to go the cable route so I never got to see some of it unless I snuck up to my Grandfathers room like the good ol days I watched 90s anime .
Saw some VH tapes at the nearest, "Once Upon a Child," when I was still in single digits. But me mom pushed it aside saying it too girly for any guy to have an interest in lol.
Now as an adult its a reacurring name in my head along with the anime community yet I'm ashamed of not seeing it, until a nostalgia critic review and some collection updates changed that.
I'll definently pick up the manga, but with the announcement of some of the original cast being shown to AX. Along with mdo7 I'am suspicious to think we might see some Sailor Moon news in the form of a license to countries outside of japan.
But since nothing of funimation is posted on the walls of this post I say they have not got the license like some people rumored they would............yet
If this so called, "remake" is being brought for stream, broadcast, etc worldwide. Then either this is going to be just a sub stream, but if broadcast maybe the japanese will work side by side on a dub while handling localization exclusively in japan. It can be similar to the Gundam Unicorn dub production but its just speculation.

I consider them more like needles in a haystack considering the popularity of the medium VA wise in the U.S. and other parts of japan. But maybe there saving the best for last? And I hope I'am right along with you.

These VA's are pretty hot among 90's anime fans. They are going to attract just those: 90's anime fans. Anime fans past the 90's won't even know nor care.
I'm a 90's anime fan so this is big news to me!

Mark my words: at AX 2014, they gonna announce the classic Sailor Moon is coming back to N. America, while we're still waiting on the Japanese remake nowhere to be found!
