I liked this movie when it was a segment on Futurama.

As far as Sandler goes, he really should go back to working with P.T. Anderson.

I'm worried the trailer might be better than the actual movie but it's very interesting given the timing for this movie.

The world gets saved from giant alien video game characters by Happy Gilmore, Tyrion Lannister, and Olaf.

Sounds like the right amount of stupid.

Happy Madison being involved makes me happy to not watch.

Remember when Adam Sandler legitimately tried to branch out with stuff like Punch Drunk Love?

Yeah, that went nowhere.

The man did seem to have a good knack for drama. I've heard nothing but good things about his performance in Reign over Me which I really should watch someday (as it also apparently has the most respectful portrayal of a video game in film from what people have said).

The perfect amount. At least on paper; we'll know for sure soon enough. It makes me kinda miss Code Monkeys, actually.

And a Smurfs joke that has absolutely nothing to do with retro games, except that Sony Animation wants to make it their new icon, and Adam was on his usual 80's-kitsch kick! Rolling Eyes

(With Columbus, there was so much possibility in this before the Goofs took over.)

This trailer actually makes the movie look a little better than the first one did, but it still reeks of being awful.

I'm probably going to see it, it does looked awesome and funny...

But I'm one of the few people who liked That's my Boy... so yeah...

Also did anyone notice that Qbert seems to be a good guy... I wonder if their still riding his popularity from Wreck it Ralph...

Well, the kids call it "retro", which I guess sort of means "old and cool"...

(Here's a challenge: How LONG can you talk about Pixels without making jokes about how Ralph did it better?
(puts $50 on the table) I'm out! Smile )

I think it could be a reference to the Smurfs game for Colecovision. But it also just be an excuse for the movie to say "Hey, we killed a Smurf!"

Are any of these games even relevant anymore?
