I just finished watching all three of them for the second time.
I really hope that more anime will be made for this franchise.

Yes, but only two are based on Shin Koihime†Musō.

The second and third series are both based on the same game.
Personally I do not find the third series to be lacking in any way. But even if you think that it is the fact that it came from this game is not the reason, unless you think that the second series is also lacking in those areas.
