Those first two concept arts look kinda cool, but even if the movie gets made it's probably not going to look anything at all like that.

Why does Kaneda look white if he's the only whose name isn't changed? Also, who is Cyrus supposed to be an expy of? Yamagata?

The concepts are nice and major props for the artist. But it doesn't feel like Akira, it feels like a Michael Bay production.

If it's just the look of the concept art, then I guess it's going to be a reverse "Last Airbender" where the heroes are ethnic and the villains are white.

Oh no. That's terrible.  And (though I don't normally complain about this sort of thing) not a single Asian in the cast. Not even for the character named Kaneda. You're disgraceful, Hollywood.

Stuff exploded in the original Akira as well. Maybe you're confusing it with Haibane Remnei or something.

I love the look of the concept art, but I don't know if I could justify supporting this film if it ends up making everyone white. I'd really like to see some Asian American actors get a chance.

The concept art is impressive, but it's rather generic. There's nothing in it that screams Akira to me at all. Well, other than the logo in the top left hand corner, of course.

Hmm...for everything that could/will go wrong with this if it eventually gets green-lit, I'd take Hollywood's live-action version than Japan's.
Oh boy, oh boy...can't wait for Kiki's Delivery Service or next year's Attack on Titan.

Don't know why people care what it looks like in years to come people will look at this Concept Art and say man i wish that film was made since we all know it's never going to be made
