And again, the R1 anime industry has completely forgotten that Tennessee is an actual state.

Positive: It's not just in California! Yay and a big Hoorah!
Negative: I have to drive 8+ hours just to get to the nearest showing in TX. Not so yay.
At least it's within reason and budget for me to see it and not miss out like I did last time. So some perks but I was really hoping for at least Memphis or Kansas City. Much cheaper and closer, but last time I went to the Alamo to see Blue Exorcist it was really nice so I look forward to my visit in March.

Was there anything in the first movie that would make this confusing if I didn't see The Beginning? Cause apparently the Manville theatre is only a 45min drive away so I'm very tempted.

There shouldn't be any need to have seen the first movie to watch this one.

Fairfax might be a few hours away from me... But I'm going to be a new mother shortly before the 15th & 17th. So I can't travel too far to view the movie.

Yay! A San Diego screening was added! So happy.
I dont think you need to see the first movie before this one. As I recall, the first one was mostly a recap of the first part of the tv series, with another villain being added into the movie.

Looks like Viz has the same or similar horrible distributor as Aniplex USA.
Once again Philadelphia gets nothing!

I hope this makes it's way to the UK soon, and if it gets a theatrical release (unlikely but who knows?) It goes somewhere near me like the Tyneside Cinema.

Not really. The first half was a recap of the first two episodes. The last half was them fighting a bland, uninteresting villain that never gets brought up again in continuity.

Ended up buying tickets to the NY show at 12:00. At the very least there is a daytime show which is actually more than I can say for Aniplex.

I was also hoping for a Tennessee screening. I suppose I'm missing out entirely, then Viz, I just wanted to give you my money

Can someone please fix the spelling of Pittsburgh? It's wrong every time there's a posting about movie showings. There's an 'h' on the end.
I'm not too interested in this movie, but I'm glad there's regular anime movie showings now. I would love it if Star Driver was showing but I don't see that happening. I would buy 10 tickets to it.
