Not sure how many of you freuqent the Retail forum, but I just had to link this in the Anime forum for those of you who might've ended up missing this!
animenewsnetwork.com/bbs/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=27824 By far, this is a rare occurrence that you could get so much (usually overpriced) Geneon merchandise for such a low, low price. I could finish collecting 6 entire anime series for a hundred freakin' dollars ! And please remember to thank Mr. Kleckner for going totally insane and offering us this one-of-a-kind deal . Enjoy! |

It is a great deal! But unfortunately for me, none of the Geneon series that I'm interested in are on that list or I already have them.
It looks like they or Geneon are trying to clear out volumes of titles that are not selling well or older titles that are going to be coming out with box sets fairly soon. I noticed that the re-released Fushigi Yugi DVDs were on that list. Hopefull they will come out with a thin pack of that one. I was really tempted to buy the re-releases because of the covers but refrained because I already had the older FY box sets...and I forgot the other reason why but it was there. |

My God, f*cking WIN. Finally able to complete some series I've been meaning to complete for like, over a year. And it looks like I'll be able to get whole new series here too. Total saving on my order is equal to about $500.

Holy [This word is a known profane expletive], Shawne K. has really lost it this time!!!
Grabbing all or most of 6 series...this is a guilt-assauging purchase, though I'm not sure if this is ripping the industry off any less than DLing Total savings = $513.00 Last edited by Zalis116 on Mon Sep 11, 2006 4:31 pm; edited 1 time in total |

Saved a few hundred dollars on DVD's I knew I would be buying anyway. How can you beat that? Can't say I'm not just a little glad I waited so long to finish collecting some of these series.
Massive thanks to Mr. Kleckner and Tony K.! |

Thank you, thank you, thank you, Mr. Shawne Kleckner!!! This is an amazing deal! 25 dvds for $4 each -- I've got a smile a mile wide right now. <--- 1000x bigger than this!
Also, thanks to Mod Tony, without whom I never would have learned of this most excellent sale (I don't really look at the other forums). I'll stop now, before this starts sounding like an acceptance speech, but I'm sorry, I'm all wired now 'cause I've got a big box o' fun headed my way shortly!!! **quivering with badly-contained excitement** I'm such a dork... |

WOW! Thanks, Tony K! That just made my day! Unfortunately, I missed out on the ADV Labor Day sale (despite the fact that I knew it was going on) because I failed to actually order something before the sale finished, but now I can make up for it with this! YAY! Thanks!
P.S. Has anyone ever ordered from Right Stuf before? I haven't. I was wondering how their service was. If any of you have ordered there before, especially if it was during some kind of sale or special, please tell me how everything went. Thanks. |

I order from them all the time. During a sale like this, you may end up with stuff being backordered, but it gets to you eventually. I ordered 25 volumes of manga in the viz sale they recently had, and i've still got just one of them backordered.
Their packing is very good in my opinion. Everything shrinkwrapped, wrapped with packing paper as well as padded. I just wish Priority shipping wasn't so expensive. oh well, free economy shipping for orders 50 dollars + |

Oh, Ok. Thanks, sykosteve.
Does anyone else have something to add? What did some of you other guys think? |

I've placed a dozen orders with Right Stuf myself, almost always during one sale or another. Sometimes they're really fast (if the item is in-stock) and sometimes they're really slow (if they're waiting on the publisher and the publisher takes a long time). The service is fine for an anime-oriented website and everything has arrived in good condition so far (which is more than I can say for AN or DDD). (Edited to remove link tied to local cookies.) Oh, wow, that was fast! LOL!
Thanks, daxomni. So, anyway, about how long is the longest you ever had to wait to finally get everything (like if it was on backorder or something)? What was the fastest? Thanks. |

Since my local Suncoast went out of business, I only order from The Right Stuf. They are terrific! When you order online, they send you a message right away (almost before you click off their site) that they've received your order. If the order isn't filled right away (maybe 2 weeks or less) they will send another message listing what you ordered and saying "We're working on it!" And when the merchandise is ready, they will send a message saying "Shipping Confirmation" listing what is being sent (sometimes they will send part of an order) along with a UPS tracking # if you choose the UPS option. I prefer paying extra for UPS just because of that. And what's really great is if you have several different orders at one time with them, and parts or all of certain orders become ready, you may get those part orders put into one box and shipped if someone there has a sharp eye out. That's happened to me twice this summer. The Right Stuf is great. Their prices are great. I'm going to stick with them from now on. I just wish there was something that I wanted to buy on this sale!
I had to wait about a month for Utena when they had a really good sale on the box sets. But, since I've been ordering titles in advance due to their advertised sales, (already ordered December releases) it is taking some time. But when I've ordered in-stock merchandise, it gets to me within 10 working days. So, I'm happy. |
