I've been a massive, absolutely gigantic fan of my all time favourite anime, the Giant Robo OVA. Anyone who has seen it knows it ends on a big cliffhanger, and no new material has been produced since 1998.

Now, I never expected any new episodes to be produced, but a friend sent me a link to this website that looks like an ad for a new series. I don't know if this is just a hoax or something, but here is the link.

Please please please oh dear god do not let the "GR" stand for "Gin Rei", we already had three episodes of that crap Sad

And I hope it continues where the previous one left off. I really want to see the Tower of Babel story.

If you click the link, it clearly says "Giant Robo."

Although it could be a hoax. I hope not... I love my Robos.

I wish people had paid attention to MY TOPIC on Giant Robo in which I pointed this out.

I wonder if this "new Giant Robo" is going to be CGI like the trailer - I hope not. Although, I woundn't mind if it were a mix of 2D and CGI, ala Metropolis.

At the end there's a copyright with "Hikari Pro" written in japanese, the same producers behind the GR OAVs. So, maybe...... one of the best OAVs of all time will be continued. I'd definitely love that.

Well, I personally haven't seen any of the Giant Robo series, but I will hope that most of it is 2D animation instead of CG, animes just seem to lose their flavor when most of it is computer generated, which is why I can't stand the new Appleseed movie, no matter how good it is. Eh, I know this is just my opinion on the matter, but I think a good deal of fans would agree that CG isn't always the best way to go since it's more of a "Look at our new technology" feel instead of "Look at our animating prowess" feel.
