Hmm, the only show I've seen with Swasey at the helm is Welcome to the NHK.

Why? This should have been just sub only. The actors deserve better than this.

@FireChick
Easy answer, because they think it will make more money for them if they do dub it. The quality of the show in question is not a factor except as it affects the profits.

While I agree that this awful show should've been dubbed only, I think actors are okay getting paid for dubbing a show that would've, otherwise, gotten a sub-only release.

Meh, that means jack shit these days. If the fact that a number of Houston-based VAs (aka Sentai/Seraphim VAs) were willing to work on a low-budget CGI flick made by some nobody animation studio in Houston (The Last Flight of the Champion, which opened in limited venues in big cities this past August), I think it's safe to say they'll willingly do anything that isn't borderline porn (and even then they just use pseudonyms).

I don't care about your incest show with the same names as 90% of your other dubs. I just want to see the cast for Girls und Panzer

There are so many things to say to this:
Work is work.
Gotta put food on the table somehow
Bills ain't paying themselves.
Pimpin' ain't easy
I'm sure some of these VAs have second jobs, but those that don't, need as many sources of income as possible.

Watching Nakaimo was kind of like Detective Conan, except instead of Conan searching for some rampant serial killer, you had your average male harem protagonist trying to use deductive logic (with the aid of a secret agent-type female) to find his sister before she has sex with him. The mood was too tense at times, since I didn't think the main character accidentally kissing his little sister could compare to getting decapitated on a roller coaster. Seriously, I could totally imagine somebody making a Youtube parody video using Nakaimo footage and playing "Kimi ga Ireba" (famous Detective Conan background song) in the background. Nakaimo took itself too seriously, and really didn't live up to the suspence put forward by the main character's constant theatrics around possibly dating his step sister.
I'm going to watch some of the dubbed Case Closed I bought....

He was looking for someone to marry, not kiss, so he could get his inheritance. That someone couldn't include his sister due to some stupid clause in the will or the law, one of those I think. The detective's job also included vetting the girls so any of this didn't come out of nowhere.
The cast looks ok, and as for the show; Well, I have Sister Princess which was supposed to have a similar plot to this one but the adaptation took out the romance notion. Nakaimo looks better and it's got a plot.
"If you only get one pseudoincest brother sister romance this year, get..."

What, are you kidding? You don't have a burning passion to see Try Not to Stick Your D*ck In Your Sister, with its quality characters and mind-blowingly original plot?
Color me shocked.
Don't get me wrong, I love these actors and I know Swasey does some wonderful work with scripts. I just can't believe tripe like this gets a dub when other shows don't.

As I recall, it's neither: it's the fact that it could easily be used to start a corporate scandal to remove him from power.

This is all bollox anyway, because if this situation was in the real world, (to which I hope it never is) all he has to do is make each girl take a DNA test, and sister dear sister is relegated with the rest of the relatives. But no one cares about that. It's all about chortling at seeing a meat-head play sexual Russian roulette with his pistol. I hope the VA's get good money for this, but somehow I doubt it.
