Wow, Johnny Bosch.....

Can't really say anything, but he will always be known as a power ranger in my childhood lifetime =P

He wasn't bad in Trigun, but unless he can really impress me with his vocal range, Ichigo is gonna sound like a kid who is too nice Laughing

Overall, the cast looks like nice and each of them have some experience in the anime field, so I'm looking forward to the dub.

Eh, can't say I'm too thrilled with Ichigo and Ishida's choices. They both have pretty deep voices in the Japanese version, especially Ichigo, I'm not so sure Bosch can go that low and sound natural and I know Prince can't, not without sounding too cartoony (sorry, can't get Love Hina and Digimon out of my head). Hopefully they can both prove me wrong.

The rest of the cast sounds pretty solid. Anime smile

So far my only experience with Johny Young Bosch (that I'm aware of) is Eureka Seven and his voice annoys me a good chunk of the time in that. But I think its mainly because he's trying to sound so much younger.

Michelle Ruff as Rukia. Her voice worked for her characters in Star Ocean, but I'm not sure about Rukia. Her characters in SO3 were sweet characters and Rukia tends to be a more rough character. She also did Tae and Tsubame in Rurouni Kenshin, which were also sweet girl roles. She was also Kiki who wasn't exactly sweet, but she was still higher pitched than I would expect for Rukia. But she did Arcueid in Lunar Legend Tsukihime, so she's done some not-so-sweet roles and I don't remember her being high pitched.

Stephanie Sheh as Orihime. She also does Eureka in Eureka Seven and I think her voice will work.

Derek Stephen Prince as Ishida. The only role of his that I remember is chaos from Xenosaga. I'm iffy on this one. Oh, and he's a Power Rangers vet also.

Iim kinda interested to see how
Michelle Ruff delivers Rukia's character too.
Rukia has got a very strong persona and I hope
Ms. Ruff is the person to get the voice done right.
I like her work from Vandred as Belvedere and Rurouni
Kenshin as Tae and Tsubame.

Yeah, but that was all voice work so it doesn't count (not that being on Power Rangers counts for anything anyway).

I'm expecting something akin to Kiba in Wolf's Rain for Ichigo. My experience with Bosch has him doing very well for most teen parts. Renton is just too young a character for him to work smoothly with.

As for Ishida, I think Prince's voice would work. They obviously weren't looking for a voice that was deep as the seiyuu.

And Ruff was Tatiana in Last Exile, a role that had her being a rather cold character. She also did a little girl on that show so no worries with her being Yuzu as well.

Funny, I was waching Naruto and thought "Hinata's voice might work for Orihime" Anime smile + sweatdrop

I hadn't noticed that she did Hinata's voice in the TV show. I just saw that she did her voice in the games. I guess it makes sense that she did it in the TV series as well. I haven't been watching Naruto on Toonami, but I watched a couple of the early episodes and I vaguely recall her voice in the second episode (in which she had one line) and I think I heard her in one of the recent Chuunin exam episodes. I think she'll be good as Orihime.

Hm, I think he could do a good job. Even if it doesn't match the original Japanese voice (though I've only seen one episode), it could still turn out well. I'm not so worried about the American actor matching the same tone as fitting the character in English, and doing a good job of acting.

Although it'll be strange to hear Ichigo with a higher pitched voice, I really like how Bosch acts. I'm looking forward to this now. He ought to make the funny scenes interesting, at the least =P.

I really Don't Care for jonny's Voice, I don't think that he can pull off Ichigo! I guess we shall see though. I wonder if the japanese Dub will be on the DVD's?

Hmm...Johnny Yong Bosch, is a pretty good voice for Ichigo, considering that he did Kiba and Vash, two very opposite characters.

Michelle Ruff for Rukia. I don't know about this one, but I have to see how it'll work out. The only thing I hope she goes for, is that Urumi Kanzaki type of attitude like she had in GTO.

Stephanie Sheh for Orihime, it's good because of course, she plays Hinata in Naruto. And both have that squeaky voice tone, and she managed to hit that sqeauky shy voice in Naruto for Hinata.

Ishida, I'm not so sure. I just hope they don't mess his voice up. I don't want him to sound like Keitaro when he's angry. I hope that voice actor keeps his voice deep....Sad

Now...why haven't they said the voice actor for Sado-Kun. (Chad). I'm suspecting that his voice actor will be the person who played Jet in Cowboy Bebop, or the person who played BoBoBo.

99% of anime DVDs have the Japanese audio on them.

On the topic of the dub cast, I've enjoyed several of these VAs' work before, so I'm going into the dub with an open mind.

Remember, good dubbing is not so much getting the dub voice to match the Japanese voice: it's more of what fits the character.

I hope Mr. Bosch can pull off the tough guy/loner attitude.
