Has anyone seen the Japanese Yu-Gi-Oh! episodes? they are really good, especially the OAV eps where Yugi wasn't always playing cards. But, i still love the card game and Japanese anime (The dub voices suck. Why does Jonouchi sound like he's in The Godfather?). Does anyone else play the card game from Konami?

No, I haven't seen any Japanese episodes of Yu-Gi-Oh. All I have access to are digital fansubs (I don't think anyone is doing that series, AND with reason. Hehehe) and the dubbed episodes on YTV. Since I only saw the dubbed episodes, I don't really mind the voices because I've gotten used to them. It kind of grows on you.

saw the first 4 eps at a friends we were really really board and his tv didn't have S video in or else we woulld havd watched Digi subs.
The Show was ok not bad not great. |

nah I watched like 3 eps of yu-gi-oh and that just about did it for me, it just seems to childish. Im not trying to offend anyone who likes this anime, but I dont, and thats why.

Yu Gi Oh in Japan doesnt look half bad , I watch the trailers but i was see what kids wb will do to it.

The Japanese Yu-Gi-Oh! was cooler. I'm not gonna start one of those "I hate kids WB for butchering anime" rants, But I think the Japanese presentation of Yu-Gi-Oh! was better. The Japanese version had more mystery and darkness around it. It didn't seem as childish (even though it is a kid's show) I love the show. I can't tell you why, it just entertains me. And isn't that what anime is meant for?

I think we should combine our yu-gi-oh threads. they are virutally the same. Is this possible? Or I nominate for the one I started to be locked.

I don't know how possible it is to combine threads, but I don't know why either of them are open. no one has anything nice to say about Yu-Gi-Oh! because it's a kids' show...meanies...

At most forums I've been to it's possible to merge threads.
My little brother was into Yu-Gi-Oh! for a while (about 1 year) and then he started hating it. I don't know why the sudden stop... half of his friends like it anyway. I've seen the show just when I was bored sometimes... it's not that great. I've actually seen quite a few episodes. |
