Don't. There are cheaper places to get their stuff, like rightstuf and deepdiscountdvd. Only time I was gonna buy something was when they had that sale back in june I was gonna buy all of super milk chan sadly I waited a day too long and missed the boat.

ADV are safe and reliable, thats about it.

There are cheaper retailers such as Dvd Pacific and Deepdiscountdvd.

I defintly recommend waiting and splurging on an ADV sale though you can pick up some really incredible bargains.

It's your decision...

Great point when ADV has a sale they have a SALE I remember getting the artboxes for Noir and FMP for like 20 bucks brand new, there is an issue with ADV sales.

Shipping due to high demands it could take a month to reach your house, but at that price it hard to complain about shipping. I normally take advantage of one or more items during this sale.
Till next time,

ADV is not really worth buying from directly anymore. Back when they started their clearance sales, the prices were rock-bottom. If you didn't mind the bar-code drills (pinpricks, really) you could make out like a lil' bandit! (I got the Anime essentials versions of Bubblegum Crisis Tokyo 2040 for $5 apiece, for example.)

Unfortunately, the sales have crapped out recently- prices have gone up on many items (I paid $3 for Grrl Power, now it's $6), and most of the listings are barely discounted. Add on the fact that they've started to charge tax, have a huge shipping charge (they seem to be FedEx exlusive now), and that customer service/shipping time goes to pot during sales... it's just not worth it anymore.

There are still bargains to be had, but it's normally cheaper to get stuff during a sale at DeepDiscountDVD or Rightstuf.

(And my browser just informed me I got an ADV newsletter email. Very Happy )

FedEx Ground, $5.00 for the first item and $1.00 for each additional item.

Honestly...ADV's customer service is hit or miss...Sometimes their slow to respond but they come through in the end...Honestly, I'd go with Right Stuf or Robert's Corner...If you're getting a great deal...Go for it!!!

I've thought about it, but I always end up going with RightStuf, TFAW or DDD because they're cheaper.

Normally those stores are cheaper on a regular basis but when ADV does one of those huge sales it's hard to argue with the prices. But generally I purchase my anime from DDD and Rightstuf.
