I've been digging around on the internet trying to find out when the Ghost in the Shell 2: Innocence Movie dub is going to be released in the US.... can't seem to find diddly! I found that it was released on 2.27.06 in the UK, and "to be followed later by a US release". Then I see that Manga Entertainment was sold? Manga USA's website doesn't have diddly either....

Hating subtitles, especially bad ones, I'm really looking forward to this release.

ANN news on this seems kinda vague, anyone have details?

I don't think Manga Ent. had the rights to Innocense. Dreamworks was the one that released Innocence a couple of years ago.

I've actually never heard anyone even say that there will ever be an English Dub U.S. release. If so, I doubt anytime soon because of an anime with such a high profile, information tends to leak.

Since the US Airing of 2nd GIG has just finished, I'd expect we'll hear an annoucement of a new US release shortly.

We can only hope, I'd buy it in an instant, but it's not very likely unless Dreamworks drops the rights and it gets picked up by someone else, more competant.

I agree, gits2 is so script driven it can really bog down the subtitles. I mean sometimes the whole screeen is nothing but subs, how we supposed to see the eye candy? I heard the UK dub was good, now if we could only get it over here. I don't know why Dreamworks wouldn't do a re-release for a dub, there is a big enough fanbase to warrent it. And while there at it do Millennium Actress as well.
