Is there something about this series I'm missing? Because thus far, the series is far from enjoyable and from what I've read this was supposed to be Sunrise's next heavy hitter. None of the characters are very appealing, the Zegapains themselves are rather generic at best (and I have trouble getting behind their CG look), and I'm not even sure what to make of the story (ooo the game is real!). The only plot point I can see so far is that Kyo is probably some sort of reincarnation of himself. As far as the show's set up, from my understanding it was supposed to be a mix between a high school drama and mecha which I thought could have worked out well. But instead of it being an actual mix, we get half and half (first part drama second part mecha action, and the action is yawn inducing). Also there's a whole level of melodrama that I just don't care for. Is anyone enjoying this series or better yet is anyone else watching? Does anyone know how it's doing so far in Japan? I know there's a 360 game on the way but that was pretty obvious from the get go. Maybe there's something I'm not seeing alltogether but I doubt it. Anyway I was wondering what others think so far about this series.
