Why only 18-25? Is it the need to pay a low salary the reason they prefer people in those age groups?

well, I had heard, at least for the comic book industry, that they were looking for younger artists and stuff, because most young people were going in to the gaming industry. maybe its the same with animation.

Hmm...that's a good reason. Need to raise the next generation of artists. It's less about needing the work they can do now, but more on needing experienced artists for the future.

I've heard that a lot of Japanese job ads have an age limit. I've seen them on English teaching jobs before. Like, you get to 26, and *poof* you can't work some places anymore.
