I vaguely remember the name of the Anime as "Tank Police"... searching the encyclopedia... come up with maybe...
"Mobile Police Patlabor" "Dominion Tank Police" "AD Police" What I remember almost vividly from when I saw it, 5 or more years ago, maybe 10... The show had a very old man, an invalid with dementia. He was put inside a "machine" that was supposed to take care of him/make his life easier... that kinda thing. Well either by the will of the old man, or the will of the machine, it went berserk and started destroying the city. Until the "Tank Police" (again, its only what I vaguely remember) could disable the machine.... I have no idea if this was a Movie, an OVA, an episode of a series.... does this sound familiar to anyone? |

**laughing** I know what you're talking about but can't remember the name of the anime.
The robot bed was possessed by the old man's wife's spirit/soul and she was bound and determined to protect/take care of him. The old man had a young nursing assistant who objected to his being used as a test subject for the BED. And there were some corporate types that only reffered to old people as/with acronyms. I'm fairly certain that it is not Patlabor but not about the others. I'm sure someone else can guess the answer. Now I want to know the name too! |

You know, I don't think that the Identifying Anime Sticky is exactly a secret around here, and yet so many people lately have been missing it completely. Isn't it basic protocol to read relevant rules, announcements, and stickies on forums you join before you click the "New Topic" button? (That's what I do, at least...)
