StarChild manages all the audio and seiyuu for Negima, even before the first anime was planned, so it's pretty much a given they're involved too.

I'm hoping this means a complete remake of the series. They can use the same seiyuu, but the series needs to be done from scratch and done properly. Considering Gainax is involved, I think it is safe to say that the ecchi content will be in this time.

Someone also pointed out that according to MoonPhase here that Akiyuki Shinbo (of Soultaker, Moon Phase, Petite Cossette fame) will direct it as well.
Hmmm, Shinbo and Gainax. If that doesn't spell WTF, I don't know what does!

That's all I hope for. Redo the character designs as well. Sheesh. I don't care about the ecchi elements, but as long as the series is done well and actually puts some of the focus on the action scenes, I'll be happy. |

OT: My silly concept for a new Love Hina season: "Boston Loves Hina": Naru & Keitaro, as part of the Tokyo U student exchange program, are sent to study at M.I.T. As usual the rest of the Hinata clan follow them for yet another hilarious adventure that'll make you forget about the horrid "Love Hina Again". Beantown will never be the same again  !
Also, what about an actual "A.I. Love You" anime?! On-T: Seriously this is cool; but I thought we just heard about this new Negima anime a couple months ago. |

That was referring those OVAs. It seems like SHAFT along with Gainax will doing a new TV series as well.
So the news hasn't said anything about whether they're doing to remake that "disasterous" version Xebec made, right? |

And with that in mind, the new Negima TV series will be the most psychotic action comedy bishoujo series with Negi ending up being a symbolic religious figure or something!

Whoever posted this news item is my hero (before this news item got "edited"). I think the "Negima Just Won't Go Away" header on the front page of ANN was the most accurate and funny thing I have seen all week. :P Bonus points for attacking the theme song.
I was also extremely unimpressed by Negima, so... :P |

I don't know if it'd be a remake. They possibly might just continue off from where the Summer OVA ends [which we wait to be released to the public].

Well, I'm hoping for some sort of "continuation" also. If this is a flat-out remake; wouldn't FUNimation be totally screwed?
