Well I'd recommend Hikaru Utada and Ayumi Hamasaki. Their music is pretty much along the same lines as TommyFebuary's, techno and pop. Some others that you might like to check out are T.M. Revolution, Nami Tamaki, and KOKIA, though her style tends to vary, but I find her music unique and very beautiful.

You could also try listening to some of BOA's songs. Her style is relatively close.

It depend on what you wanna listen
Upbeat, festive music ---> I recommend T.M. Revolution (especially Invoke and/or Wild Rush) or Hayashibara Megumi
Ballads ---> Hamasaki Ayumi or Utada Hikaru
Heavy Metal ---> Luna Sea or Guilty Gear's Soundtrack (excellent one)

If you like Tommy February6, I'd recommend the brilliant green and Tommy Heavenly 6. Tommy February6 aka Tomoko Kawase was/is the lead singer of tbg, and Tommy Heavenly 6 is one of Tomoko's other solo careers.
Also, the most popular female pop singers in Japan at the moment are Ayumi Hamasaki, Utada Hikaru, Koda Kumi, Ai Otsuka, BoA, Namie Amuro, and Nami Tamaki. Ayumi is cosidered the Queen of J-pop.

Why stop with TMR? Iceman, Kotani Kinya, access or anything else DA has ever touched will work. access takes a bit of acclimating, what with Hiro's voice being what it is.
I'd also recommend Johnny's groups (SMAP, V6, Kinki Kids, Arashi, TOKIO, Tacky&Tsubasa) and other boyband-like groups (w-inds., FLAME, LEAD, etc.). If Shuji to Akira or what can't make you smile, you have no soul.

LUNA SEA isn't heavy metal. That's like saying L'Arc~en~Ciel is heavy metal, which they obviously aren't.

I believe there were about thirty million bands that produced music similar to "Lonely In Gorgeous" during the '80s. Start with A Flock of Seagulls, work your way towards The Thompson Twins and go from there. Let's hear it for retro synth-pop!
BTW, the videos for the "Tommy" bands are over-the-top hilarious. Highly recommended.
