I dont know if it was censored, but WOW! I agree it is getting darker as the series progresses. It makes me wonder how dark the series will get. As for last nights episode the ending was definately different from most things I have seen (especailly since I like comedies and Gundam).

The series has been getting into the very deep question of duty v. conscience and is getting into more and more ramifications of just how and when conscience takes precedence over duty. Last night's episode in which Mitsuko's mother committed suicide because she couldn't sort out the conflict between her love of her children and her love of Prof. Gill was a stunner because it was so unexpected. I don't think it was censored because it was obvious what happened. This has turned really dark and is likely to get even more so before its end. (^_*)

That was very unexpected. I thought they would take out the blood scene, but nope. It's getting kinda sad actually, but that's what make things memorable. I think this anime would've been better if the drawing were like Rurouni Kenshin or something...but I'm not complaining Surprised

I remember a while back (I'm too lazy to check it out) someone wondering why Kikaider was not on toonami because it seemed fairly tame. I think last night's episode is why it's on AS. I'm wondering how dark it will get before the end.

But Cyborg 009 is coming to Toonami, and the arts are kinda like Kikaider. They look identical actually...

Kikaider and Cyborg 009 were both created by Shotaro Ishinomori. Anime Jump has a fairly good column about the show.

True, I didn't think Cyborg 009 looked very interesting, but then I thought the same of Kikaider, and it turned out to be pretty good. Maybe I'll check it out......

Yea and tonight kikaider and... I forgot her name... Got pretty heavy! And it didn't show anything but you definitly saw the symbolism with that scene were that metal pipe was wraped around that tree branch.

I'm not sure what happen on last night episode. It appears as if she's doing the you-know-what (that's what it look like to me), or maybe she was just fixing the arm.

By the way alot of you are talking about Kikaider, from dark to heavy to some parts being censored or not? I think I better continue watching the show. I only saw the first episode. Then I started falling asleep too early. If only it showed earlier than it is scheduled....but hey that's why its adult swim..... Anyway, for all the updates and inputs that everyone has put in, it sounds pretty interesting.

Check the schedule again; there are four all new episodes next week. Very strange.

The remaining four episodes are an OAV series.
