So Viz is only announcing the Reborn! stream, but basically they've got the license and options for home release now. I watched the whole thing on Crunchyroll, but I know there was some people hoping for a true release at some point, this would be the first step towards that (possibly) happening.

Damn, you beat me to it Wink

Good to see Monster getting released as a stream though. At this point, I'd kinda hold my breath for any actual DVD release from Viz on that show...same thing with Hikaru No Go actually finishing up their DVD/dub run, unfortunately Sad

Hmm, I wonder if this means that Aniplex will eventually give Occult Academy a physical release like it has for Durarara!!?

I hope so. I know some people didn't dig the show, but I found it reasonably entertaining. I'd buy it.

Same here. I loved the series, big ol' warts and all. I'm still crossing my fingers for a BD release at some point in the future.

If Aniplex America should release anything over here, it's the Rurouni Kenshin movie & OVAs on Blu-ray.

Even though I watched the whole Reborn! series on Crunchyroll, I'll be re-watching the series on VizAnime.com. I might even consider watching Monster on VizAnime since I never did watch the show when it was airing on TV (I knew it was on the syfy channel around the time the last couple episodes were going to be shown). Anyways, hope Reborn! does excellent on their site so they can somehow continue the manga and/or do a Home Release for the Reborn! series.

I haven't watched Occult Academy yet (will watch on Crunchyroll later down the road), but if it's a good series, and if AniplexUS actually license the series for a Home Release, I wouldn't mind buying it.

I've already started watching Reborn on Crunchyroll, since the manga appears to have been halted by Viz and I doubt at this point the anime will get licensed, so no impact there.

I'd rather watch Monster dubbed, IIRC dubbed episodes can be bought on ITunes, so I'll start picking them up there eventually. Also, obligatory "curse the lack of 2nd boxset!" remark.

Occult Academy has interested me, but I think I'll hold off a little longer in case of a physical release.

Sort of good news for some, but now if they would release the entire series on dvd for those of us who can't watch it via the Internet or download it via the Internet and have absolutely no other way to watch it other than by dvd and would like to complete our owned set and finish watching it! Please!

At least they have a chance to get licensed. Hopefully one day they will.

I really hope that streams for Reborn! go well, since this could be the only way Reborn! can be licensed in America. But this a perfect way for me to rewatch the series and hopefully gets new people that are unfamilar with Reborn to check it out

Yay for Occult Academy! Really enjoyed it. Hopefully Aniplex will nicely release it. I mean, every other "Anime no Chikara" anime was licensed, so why not this too? Very Happy
