I have been looking for DVD release of this old anime for a really loong time. Does anyone here know, if there is an official release that is subtitled in English? Or at least an official one with original Japanese audio? Lastly, does somebody know about pirate versions of Hello Lady Lynn or Lady Lady, so I know to beware.
I really appreciate all the answers, because I'm from Finland, and its impossible to find any of the rarer anime here.

I checked both ANN's Encyclopedia and did a general online search and could find no mention of an official VHS or DVD release of this title. Ebay does currently have a R1 Arabic dub of the entire first season listed (under the title "Lady, Lady!"), a combination which makes me suspicious especially given that I can't find the DVD even mentioned anywhere else.
I also ran across a few fansub sites which had it listed (curiously, most often available in Arabic), but obviously that's not info I'm going to give out here. That may be your only option for a title that obscure.

While I enjoyed the action aspects of Birth of Kitaro, I can't say it works that well as an entry point for new fans.― Modern folklore-focused anime and manga owe a huge debt to the work of 1960s manga GeGeGe no Kitaro's artist and writer Shigeru Mizuki. A second world war veteran, the traumatic amputation of his left arm, due to an air raid explosion, never held back his pre-existing artistic ambit...

It may be early days for Pretty Cure, but the bones of what has made it such an enduring franchise are there.― It feels obvious to say this, but Pretty Cure Max Heart, the second series in the franchise and a direct sequel to the first, is still finding its way in the greater scheme of things.
