It looks like whenever there are over 250 users (guests included) the server would reset itself or something. I've been receiving "Sorry, but the server is a bit overloaded" message every other day, and sometimes when I submit a post or a PM the next screen I see is asking my login name and password. Now I write long posts in Word and save them before posting.
Anyway, what happened? Not enough bandwidth? |

That's strange, I don't think I've ever heard of a server actually logging you out due to overload. Stop responding, yeah, but not kick you out. I spend a lot of time here and I've never had the system log me out. Very strange.

Heck, just got kicked off again.... Good thing I wasn't submitting information at the moment. The error message is even more obscure this time:
message_die() was called multiple times. This isn't supposed to happen. Was message_die() used in page_tail.php? I wonder what does that suppose to mean? |

Whoa, that's a pretty cool error message Basically, it means there was an error while trying to display the error message.
I'm not sure why you'd get logged out from phpbb, but those "overloaded" messages means that MySQL is in the process of self-imploding due to a weird FreeBSD+MySQL bug (happened 7 times this month). We'll be upgrading FreeBSD shortly, so that should take care of it. |

Well, the "overload" message hit me last night for about an hour or so. First time for everything I guess, though it didn't log me out, just kept me out of the site. Nice to see there's a solution in the works.

Yeah, I reported this a while back. Now it seems the forum is completely whacked out as I can't edit my posts and the Talkback forum shows that it contains "no posts." Ha. |

This might be related to the whole forum getting screwed thing, but did anyone get this similar message?

Yes I did. I tried to report this but got another one for the reporting post, and it didn't go through.

Situation update:
New topics / replies get following message, but will go through:
If you edit an existing post, you'll receive the following error message, and the edited post will NOT be updated (i.e. will stay the way it is).
At the time of writing (16:33 PST), four fora are screwed up: Talkback, Encyclopedia, Bugs & Technical Questions, and Anime, with "No Posts" in the Last Post column. |

God, "DEBUG MODE" is back, and Talkback forum is screwed again. I was forced to make this new post instead of editing the existing one.
