Hi,
When I was growing up, I used to watch a really cool anime but I don't remember the name or the names of the main characters. I'll try to describe the anime as best I can and maybe one of you old people will recognize it and let me know where to find information about it. The story is about this woman who is supposed to be the new Empress of the galaxy because the old Empress is too old and she is very close to dying. However, the trip to the center of the galaxy is an extremely dangerous one, so the man who sends her, goes to recruit an old veteran who is being held prisioner in a tiny bubble on the surface of a desolate moon. I can't remember the reason why he has been imprisoned but I think it is because he is too powerful and has a knack for defying authority. They release him, and somehow make him agree to escort the princess on her journey. The veteran had a red and white combat suit with a helmet. He had brown hair and he was about 18 years old. His special weapon was his trionic lance which was kept in 2 separate recoilable pieces on 2 holsters at the sides of his waist. Whenever he entered combat, his 1 man small space fighter would open up and he would stand on top of it like if it was a large space surfing board. He would then take out the 2 pieces of his trionic lance and put join them together above his head, where they would extend and transform into his trionic lance, which shot all kinds of rays of destruction. Along the way they found a companion who agrees to join them. This companion had long black hair and wore a blue armor and helmet. He also fought on top of his small space ship like a space surfing board. His weapons were a couple of little canons that would flip open from his chest armor. He was the brain of the group, with pocket calculator that would help him solve pretty much any problem they had. Further along the way they land on a water planet and encounter a funny chubby guy who fights with them but later decides to join them in their quest. He also fought from on top his spaceship and his armor was green and yellow. I used to waatch this about 20 years ago (yes I know, I'm old) but they used to show it always back to back with an episode of Kotetsu Jeegu, which was an anime from 1975. Because of the fact it was played back to back with Kotetsu Jeegu, I'm inclined to think they have the same vintage. I never watched the end of the series so I would really apreciate your help remembering the name or any other information so I can go get it somewhere. Thanks! Luminal |

I did, thanks. They found the answer in 20 minutes. The anime was Spacekeeters!
Hehe doesn't look as cool as I remembered, but oh well it will be fun to watch finally the end, after 20 years
