Although I do not watch these shows anymore, I was thinking to myself, what would be cooler if it was real...huge virtual arenas where your cards come to life....or leaving your house and trekking to a nearby forest to catch some pokemon....I still haven't decided but I would like to know your opinions...oh yea, add Digimon in this question.

Pokemon type world all the way. I've actually thought before how awesome it would be to live in a world like that (without repetative battles and going nowhere for months on end.) But I would like to just walk around with my pokemon and catch new pokemon. I think that would be a lot of fun. I wouldn't care so much about battles, i'd just like to see pokemon and go catch them and stuff. And I mean...here it's boring, with school and work and paying for rent and whatnot. I wouldn't mind a month in a pokemon like world, running around the forests and between cities with animals.
I watched one episode of Yu-Gi-Oh, and it didn't appeal to me, so I can't really offer and opinion there. Anyway, i'd like to experience a pokemon world for like a month or something. But life like that would probably get just as repetative and as boring as this one... |

No way dude. That would be the coolest thing ever. Go to school and instead of math you learn how to cure paralysis and you could battle your friends at recess or whatever. Travel the world. Pick-up chicks if you have a cute pokemon. Fight gym leaders. That would be the freakin' life.

Oh man when I was into Pokemon about 5 years ago I thought about this ALL the time and how cool it would be if it were real. By the time I saw some episodes of Yugioh I was already tired of these types of animes, and it wasn't terribly interesting either. Do you know how much Pokemon abuse would occur if it were real, though? Half of the Pokemon captured would just sit in their Pokeballs for the rest of their lives due to neglect.
Digimon just look a little too jacked for my liking, personally. Well Pokemon past like the first few seasons got way too deformed and became plain stupid. |

Forget about pokemon and card worlds. Picture instead a ninja world like in Naruto. Instead of going to school and study french you study instead shuriken throwing. Instead of biology you'd have shadow replication class.

I remember on a commentary for one of the pokemon movies (the forth one I think) they mentioned how Nintendo's trying to develop real Pokemon. They were kidding of course (I think). Back when I was a Pokefreak I always thought it would be cool to do it in real life. They're don't seem to be any real animals that exist in Pokemon though. I know I've seen them eat burgers or some kind of meat before in the show. I wonder what they're made out of? Miltank perhaps? Which would be kind of funny seeing how you're always supposed to treat your Pokemon with "love and care".

Well, there was one episode of Pokemon where Team Rocket was chasing after a Far'Fetched to eat, so I guess they must eat certain types of Pokemon, but the world of Pokemon would be really cool if it were real. It'd be fun to go around capturing Pokemon and battling against other trainers and kicking Team Rocket's butt when you're only ten years old.

See, you people are forgetting that if Pokemon and Yu-Gi-Oh! and the like go real-world, then actually real worl rules apply. I mean, you think PokeMon don't goto the bathroom or nothing? You ever smell Pikachu crap before LOLZ? And also, the Board of Ed would be it an uproar with all the illiterate PokeMOn trainers travelling around. And the Pokemon . . . well watch this and you'll see.
Yu-Gi-Oh! is where it's at. Card strategies can easily be introduced into the high school/college curriculum, and instead of afterschool fights people would duel for their rarest cards (BATTLE CITY RULES!) |

I would choose something cool like a Final Fantasy (Video Game) world. Actually no scratch that if anyone has ever played Shadow Hearts I choose that. It is not too different than todays world, but there is magic and history, and it kicks total ass. I don't want to fight pokemon with pokemon, I want to kill thousands of monsters with swords, guns, and magic. Sorry to hijack your thread, but I am just saying it like it is. |

If you have a pokemon you get the girlies. Plain and simple. Sure I'd like to see a humogous dragon shoot at another guy why he gloats abouthow much life points the other guy lost but I mean come on? Wouldn't you rather Nazi-train your pokemon and have it beat the living shyt out of another guys pokemon? Plus if you got beef with another duke and the things getting out of hand, sic your pokemon o him and watch it maul him while it screams out its own name 100 hundred times. They won't forget that. Plus if you got a pokemon you're the man Two "pikas" and you've got a phone number in hand in less than five.
