From the Encyclopedia entry on it:

So, I would assume it's not available in the US yet.

The review was based on the Japanese Version.

Unfortunately Astroboy [2003] isn't available in North America just yet.

Does anyone know who will be the distributor in America? Because if it's airing on KidsWB, that usual means that its release will be limited to edited, English track only DVD (the only anime I think that escaped this was CCS, I believe)

come on, how bad can you edit Astro Boy? even they couldn't screw this up... could they?

Seriously, there is nothing to edit. If there was, it wouldn't be very close to Tezuka's original vision.

Astroboy was created in English. What I saw was a Japanese dubbed raw episode provided to me by Sony for preview purposes.

Sony Pictures will be handling the US version themselves, so thee shouldn't be too much in the way of editting, and a biligual DVD seems for possible w/ them than if 4Kids or WB themselves had picked it up.

I'd be really curious to know if the opening song is in any way similar to the classic Tetsuwan Atom song?

Also, did they release more information about the Astroboy movie?

Anyway, from the review, the serie looks mighty fine, can hardly wait

I'm so glad Astro's back for another run. Judging by the on-line previews the current artist group did a nice job in putting the 1950's tezuka manga look into this new series. How awesome and just in time for Atom's 50th Birthday.
