I can't believe this manga is going to become a live-action movie Shocked

I know it's insanely popular with junior high/high school/college girls, but when my sister borrowed the series from her friend, I thought it was unreadable, both the plot (its shock-value is very high) and the art (not all that good -- how anyone can look at that artwork and find it "sexy" is beyond me).

But, Yori is going to be played by Matsu Jun (Arashi). I like his acting. He was great as Domyoji in Hana yori Dango. So I hope the BokuImo movie will be more watchable than the manga.

If a manga is popular enough, than it will be adapted.

Not here. Somehow I've found her stories very entertaining (albeit a bit unrealistic), and her artworks, although might not be able to be accepted by most men, very cute and fitting. Story-wise, BokuImo is not that surprising, for I've guessed correctly that spoiler[Iku and Yori were not real siblings] from the start.

I never have much confidence with acting skills of Japanese pop idols. Theatrical stage actors have much more solid performances.

Just read the plot summary.

Right. If they were, it'll be just gross.
I used to like ShoComi, but nowadays they seem to be turning up the shock-value so much that I lost my appetite.
HanaYume is much better.

Well, I don't expect any award-winning acting from pop idols...
If their acting is decent, it's enough because they're so cute Wink

Indeed the plot sounds shocking....hmm, the female lead sounds so weak-willed that I probably wouldn't enjoy reading it. But only judging from that cover image, I have no qualms with the art...yet. Very Happy
